Layout Basics

Every layout starts with a choice about the image or background.

Full is open canvas. The image or colour fills the frame, edge to edge, and carries the whole surface.

Focus is framed. The image sits inset within a field, floating with space around it. Focus can go two ways: tightly focused, one small element held in a large calm field, or paired, where the frame is divided and an image sits alongside content. In both, the image is contained rather than filling the frame.

Elements on top of the layout, text, glyphs, supporting graphics, follow Orbit logic. They sit either at the centre or at the edges. Never in between.

Think of it as a centre of gravity. An element is either pulled into the middle, holding focus, or pushed out to the corners and edges, framing the space. There is no three-quarter, no floating in an awkward middle ground. Centre, or edge. This keeps every layout feeling intentional and unmistakably Visma.
